‘Beauty of Power’ series.

Digital print & acrylic on laser cut foamex & transparent orange perspex. 1000 x 1000mm.

These iridescent works lie somewhere between painting, sculpture & photography, but are also suggestive of circular windows or mirrors, whilst demonstrating political & social undertones. The series of two works were created in 2007-08, with a focus on the ‘shadow’ or ‘Id’ within Jungian psychology. The works continue to be poignant & relevant, with the rise in religious & political extremism.

  • The works were shortlisted for the Celeste Painting Prize, 2007.

  • Published in an artist interview. Financial Times Magazine, 2007.

  • Documented in a gallery review. Saturday Times Magazine, 2008.

‘Apparition 1490’ series.

2010. Digital print on 4mm acrylic. Laser cut white perspex frame. 1490 x 600mm.
